Macey's big day

Today at church all of the 1st graders received their bibles. This was such a big day for Macey. She was so excited to have her very own BIBLE!

My sister, Erica, made me this purse for my birthday. She amazes me with her creations she has made. My sewing machine made it out of the box once and then I put it right back in. Erica on the other hand has become quite the seamstress. WAY TO GO ERICA!

Bluebonnets

Concert by the lake

Tonight we went to The Harbor for "concert by the lake"

We grabbed some sandwiches, had a family picnic and enjoyed some music.

Earth Day Fieldtrip

Emily had a field trip today to DFW airport. It was all about "Earth Day". I thought that is was going to boring, but really turned out to be very interesting and educational. By the end all of the kids were very tired.

At one station the kids learned all about butterflies. They saw caterpillars, cocoons, and even saw a butterfly breaking out of its cocoon.

The next station was about keeping birds away from the airport.

Easter Sunday

Happy Easter Everyone!!!

We started the morning off with a wonderful church service.

Then headed to Haw-Haw and Bob's house for lunch and easter egg hunt.

Mesquite Rodeo

Tonight we went to the Mesquite Rodeo and had box seats. The girls had such a great time.

New Orleans

I just got back from New Orleans. I went with a bunch of the girls from work for Jenn's bachelorette party. It was so much fun to just get away and have some girl time.

We took a tour of the 9th Ward and we stumbled across the "Make it Right" Brad Pitt houses. They were so interesting.

This is a house in the 9th ward. It was amazing to see so many houses still all boarded up from Hurricane Katrina. They have made some progress, but still have a ways to go.
