Tonight we went to Erica and Cujo's house to go trick-or-treating. The kids had so much fun and got so much candy.

Fun Fall Day

Today we went to carve pumpkins at South Fork Ranch. The Springs Church was trying to break a world record by having 1000 people carve pumpkins at the same time. There were not quite that many people there, but we had a great time. There was a petting zoo, pony rides, three-legged races, horseshoes, bounce houses, and 1000 pumpkins.

Macey had her first field trip today-we went to the Arboretum. She was so excited to ride a school bus for the first time-she kept telling me she didn't even have to wear a seatbelt. Erica and Oliver were there with some friends and family so we ate lunch with them. The kids had a blast on the field trip, but it was soooo crowded. We stayed in the pumpkin patch for the majority of the day.

Macey's Kindergarten Class
They went to a class called Pumpkin Circle. They had so much fun acting, coloring, planting, watching a video, and learning all about the life cycle of a plant.  Macey is picking a seed out of the pumpkin which she got to plant and bring it home to watch it grow.

Dinner at Furr's

So tonight... we decided to try out the new Furr's cafeteria in Garland. Emily kept saying her stomach hurt and she did not want to eat anything. At the end of dinner Macey was eating her dessert and I looked over at Emily as she had her hands covering her mouth. I tell Tim to rush her to the bathroom, but there was not time. Throw up all over the table and floor of this new restaurant. I felt so bad for the people sitting around us and our poor waiter that had clean up duty. Needless to say we packed up our stuff and headed out. We will not be going back there! Pray for her that she gets better, she starts her craft club tomorrow and Macey has her first field trip tomorrow. I am hoping that they will both be okay!

The Joyful Noise Choir

Today Emily had her first choir concert at church. Their are 2nd-5th graders in her choir. She looked so little up there singing. She had been practicing her songs at home for a while and was so excited to be able to sing them in front of the church crowd. She sang at the 9:30 and 11:00 services.

Stay tuned for postings about Macey's choir performance-The Celebration Singers!

The State Fair of Texas

Today was Emily and Macey's official Fair Day at school, so Tim took a half day at work so we could all go to the fair. Nonna came along with us and we had such a good time.

The girls loved this slide. They rode it twice-when we got there and before we left. Macey had a hard time climbing all of the stairs to get to the top, but the payoff was well worth it.
The girls are not into corny dogs, so we all split some Texas nachos with jalapenos (Emily's favorite). Macey also had a grilled cheese.

Fun house

The petting zoo is always one of their favorite things to see and do while at the fair.

We are such clowns!

The girls had their nails painted and put some lipgloss on in the Loreal building.
