Dance Recital

This morning was Emily and Olivia's dance recital. Emily did hip-hop, lyrical, and jazz routines. Olivia did jazz, ballet and tap. They both did a wonderful job.

Soccer Season

After many years of begging to play soccer, her wish finally came true. Macey had her first soccer game today. She did a fantastic job at the beginning of the game, but towards the end she was hot and tired. I don't think she realized how much running she would have to do.

Tae Kwon Do Spring Break Camp

Macey has been looking forward to spring break camp for a long time. She had a really good time, but did not like waking up soooo early. Camp was from 8 o'clock in the morning to 11. She played dodge pad, learned how to use sticks, practiced her patterns, and much more. On Friday night, she did a demonstration of what she had learned and received her new belt. Macey broke her first board EVER! She kicked it and broke it so fast I barely had enough time to turn on my camera

Spring Break 2011

This spring break, the girls and I just took it easy while Tim "worked" each day. We tried out new restaurants, including Buffalo Wild Wings and Paradise Burger and had frozen yogurt from Purple Berri everyday. On Wednesday we went to the Allen Outlet Mall with Erin and Olivia. On Thursday we met Erica and the boys at the park. It was so hot!

After we left the park, Macey went to the orthodontist for the first time. She was really excited about going, but I don' think she realized how much her teeth were going to hurt after getting spacers put in. Next step is to be fitted for an expander and then braces!

Party Time!!!

Emily and Macey celebrated Aunt Lindsey and Uncle Noah's 9th birthday party at ASI Gymnastics. They jumped on the trampoline, jumped in the pit, and ate pizza and cupcakes.

Soccer

Macey has been begging to play soccer since she was little. Well, this is the year! We went to the store and bought her soccer shoes, shorts, shirt, socks, and shin guards. She was so excited that as soon as we got home she put it all on and ran out in the front yard to practice. The next day as soon as she got home from school she put on all of her gear at 3:00 and was ready for her first official practice (which started at 6:00). At practice it seemed that she knew exactly what she was doing.

Medieval Times

Yesterday Tim and I decided to surprise the girls with a trip to Medieval Times for "Dinner and Tournament." They were so excited! We had such a good time.

Back to Blogging!!!

Well it has been a while since I sat down to update my blog. A lot has happened since Sept 2009. So here are some highlights of what has been happening around the Kimbrell household.

Emily and Macey started 2nd and 4th grade! How in the world did they get so big?

Macey started TaeKwon-Do a year ago and last week tested for her green advanced belt. She loves kicking, punching, learning new patterns and sparring.

I graduated from TWU with my Masters of Science-Nursing Education in December. It was quite an accomplishment and something I never thought I could do. It would not have been possible without all of the support from my family and friends.

In January, we took a cruise to the Bahamas. We swam with dolphins and went parasailing. We had a fantastic time!

There are many more exciting things that have happened since my last post. Tim and I celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary. My cousin Amy got married. My sister and brother-in-law, Erica and Joel, started the adoption process to bring their little girl Annie home. My sister Erin graduated from nursing school and is currently doing an internship in labor and delivery and my mom is finishing up her PhD.
